Support our movement towards an independent Schumacher College
Our fundraiser is now live!

On 27th August 2024, Dartington Hall Trust made the decision to close all programmes at Schumacher College with immediate effect due to continued financial difficulties on the estate. The Schumacher community is now working to gain financial independence to continue the pioneering work of this internationally renowned college.
Our vision is a reborn, independent, Schumacher College. To make that happen we are raising funds to secure a permanent new home in Devon for the college. We will also create an endowment fund to ensure financial security for Schumacher College and the network that carries on its teachings and ethos around the world.
A beacon of regenerative learning, Schumacher College has inspired a global community of people ready to stand up for social justice and our precious planet. Hundreds of regenerative social enterprises and innovative practices have been established by alumni over the years, with some taking up significant political roles, such as advising Barack Obama on environmental matters or leading climate negotiations at the UN. The college has also given rise to partner organisations across the globe including in Brazil, Colombia, Belgium, Ireland, India, China, Spain and France.
Right now, our world needs this sort of learning and action more than ever. Institutions like Schumacher College play a vital role in advancing the education that meets the challenges and opportunities humankind collectively faces - responding to the needs of our time and those of future generations.
